One of the things I mentioned earlier on the blog was that if you're going to shoot in the snow the most important thing is to see sunlight and shadows. There's nothing more boring, I mean nothing more boring, than snow on a gray or cloudy day. Secondly, we don't want to photograph whole objects like taking a picture of a whole motorcycle or taking a picture of a chimney… Rather we want to find composition and light in a more abstract way filling the frame with design. It's really really important for you to understand the difference here. That's the whole point of the class. Photography can be far more interesting especially in a fine arts context than just taking pictures of things or of places.
So when you go shooting, begin with the light. Where is there beautiful light? Notice how the chimney has no light on it that is in fact silhouetted by the light of the sky. See how off-color it is? it is too cyan.
The one image that has some potential, although the light is pretty dull, is the doorway. At least with this shot you are filling the frame with structure and design. You are welcome to keep shooting and resubmit some more… :)

In looking at the images on your Drive, I see others that are stronger for this assignment... So glad I could see them there.
