Kevin, one very small but important thing you can do to improve your pictures is to straighten the horizon line so that it's parallel to the edge of the frame. See how number one it tilts to the left a little? I do see that the bottom edge where the grass is is parallel.
I really like the intention of the picture of number two. Can you see how the resolution in the detail is really low? That's because of pinch zooming with a phone camera instead of using a real lens with telephoto capabilities. Editing wise, I would darken the upper left side in order to draw attention to the reflection in the water itself more.
Once again take a minute to straighten your horizon line. It'll dramatically improve your work on number three.
Similar to number two, the pinch zooming made the resolution quite low. But that said, I appreciate how you framed the shot and thought about the relationship of the frozen sticks in the water and the general composition.
To improve number five, straighten the horizon. Next ask yourself where is the focal point? It would be in the foreground with the water and ice but it's also in a shadow there. Do you see how the bright sky and sunlight on the distant ice draws your eye away from the focal point? Knowing how to answer that question on what it takes to fix that will bring you to a whole new level of photography.
It is super important for you to create a Google Drive folder and share it with me so I can add you to the class. You're not really doing much until I can see all the work that you're shooting.
