Macro means to get much closer than this... like 1" away. You could fill the frame with a close up of one orchid flower... Also, daylight, not artificial light is important for good pictures as well... Take the orchid by a window during daylight and move in close, then even closer.
The same goes for the other natural items/flowers... fill the frame!... natural light! Avoid objects like binoculars, aspirin bottle, etc. The pine cones and seed pods would look better on a dark background like dark scarf or coat, by a window and in much closer...
